With 700 fresh infected Cases(of COVID-19 in India) reported within the last 24 hours, the total number of Coronavirus cases in India today jumped to 4,067(as of now)- as per the latest data, released by the ”Home Ministry’.
Meanwhile, the death toll has gone up to 109 and 292 people have been recovered from this Pandemic.Â Â

Globally, the total coronavirus cases surged above 1.27 million while the death toll rose near 70,000, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University. US with over 3 lakh cases was the worst affected country, followed by Spain with 1.31 lakh infections and Italy 1.28 lakh infections. In terms of the death toll, Italy reported over 15,000 death, followed by Spain at over 12,000 and the US with nearly 10,000 deaths.
Meanwhile, to ease the burden of the affected, the government has offered free tests and treatment to beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat (AB-PMJAY). “Testing and treatment of COVID-19 are already available for free in public facilities. Now, more than 50 crore citizens, eligible under the health assurance scheme will be able to avail free testing through private labs and treatment for COVID-19 in impaneled hospitals,” said National Health Authority (NHA) in a statement.
